Visitor Center EV Chargers to move the week of July 17th

In preparation for the paving of the Visitor Center parking lot, the Town will be moving the current Level II charger from it’s current location near the Visitor Center to the southwest corner where the electrical was recently installed. This will mean that there will be no EV charger available for use the week of July 17, 2023. As soon as the charger is installed in the new location, we will provide another update.

Alternative EV Charging Locations:

• Nederland Middle/Senior High School: 597 CO Hwy 130, Nederland, CO 80466
• Nederland Elementary School: 1 Sundown Trail, Nederland, CO 80466

We are anticipating that the Visitor Center parking lot will be repaved the end of July/beginning of August. Once we embark on that project, the Level II chargers will be inaccessible again. As soon as we have the date for the repaving narrowed in, we will provide another update.

The Town also intends to install a Level III charger in the southwest corner; however, the electrical needs to be upgraded slightly by Xcel to accommodate those new chargers. We anticipate that the Level III chargers will be installed spring 2024 at the latest.
